Summer Wanderings

Ever since I saw a photo of this, I’ve wanted to recreate it for our home. It’s currently sketched out on a leftover piece of wood from a wine box. Love finding new uses for things around the house!

Thankful

Earlier this month, the hubby and I celebrated our second anniversary. It was a quick, no-fuss celebration since we’ve been so busy with work, projects and all the other things that life throws at you. But I reflect on our relationship each day, and always come out so grateful that I have such a supportive person in my life.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

We’re coming up on our wedding anniversary next month, and the hubby and I have decided to double the celebration by walking in the Great Strides fundraiser to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We’ll be raising funds until then, and the BC will match all donations raised up to the fundraising goal. You can show your support by donating here to an amazing cause! Thanks so much!

What I Did On My Winter Vacation

I have to admit, it’s been a nice break from weddings (minus planning meetings, walk-throughs, consults, admin, etc., because there’s no such thing as a real vacation when you own a business!). The hubby, doggy and I were able to do some much needed travel and eating. Here’s a peek at a few ‘grams.

A New Year

Happy new year, ya’ll!! I’m starting out this new year with a new found appreciation for life right now. There’s something humbling about sitting back to reflect on your fortunes, your loved ones, how you can contribute to other people’s lives and the importance of cherishing the moment and place you’re at.

- Some things I’m loving right now? For starters, the love of my life and our “son” Ollie.

- Pretty things, like the brand new websites of Monica Wang Photography and Dandelion and Grey’s floral division.

- Reformer pilates classes that are beyond humbling. Why am I always the weakest one in class?!

- Having the best clients and another year of weddings to grow and learn from.

Happy July 4th ya’ll! Any big plans? For the hubby and I, it’s packing! We’re remodeling the house so we’ve got to move everything out (eeks!).
